Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
The children were sleeping at the crib, while I was strapped to an infant on my back. Ha! All was beginning to fall into place, but it was not quite done. For furnishing the space it would be an enormous undertaking both in budget and time. I would also have to do my favourite shopping. To stay within my budget I took my sons along with me as I searched for treasures in estate sales. We would go from Thursday to Saturday at estate sales and garage sales purchasing old and brand new furniture. Then I stenciled and polished the driveway throughout the week. What I saw looked something like... this is the moment my love for restoring furniture was born. When our house was decorated, I couldn't quit! There was an area on the market where I sold things. Eventually I had more pieces that I had no idea how to use them and outgrew the area. Open houses were held in my home where one 000 visitors would pass through on a single weekend. they could purchase anything on the first floor. Growing Days is the result of this. Not only was my business thriving but I was growing my sweet family too. It was essential to find the right balance to me. I wanted to be a mom and also a successful business owner. Growing Days just seemed to fit. In 2013, my daughter Nora became our fourth daughter. The direction of my business was great, but I needed to rest for a while. I got away from vintage furniture to spend the time I needed with my children. That was precisely the thing I needed. Within a couple of months, the phone began to ring. I started receiving messages from individuals asking to help with their home improvement and interior design. These people had mostly attended my house during the open houses that were held for furniture. Then I slowly took on clients according to my own pace. In the end, I had many clients, and had a business of home renovations. It would have probably amused me if I had told you that it would be the foundation of an DIY Network tv series. Actually I still kind of laugh when I think about the idea.
